Students of the University of Uyo got lot of fun as celebrity visitors as hit Reggae-Blues crooner, Harrysong and Jeff, winner of MTN Project Fame 8.0, stormed the University last Friday to launch the MTN Musicplus+ Next rated initiative for upcoming artistes. Both celebrities fielded questions from the excited students during a special #Campustweetguestsession.
The evening was not only about the #Campustweetguest,there was dancing, singing and mock fashion competitions.After thrilling the audience with his dancing skills, Sam Patus, a student of Linguistic sat the University got a special invitation from Harrysong to feature in the artiste’s forthcoming music video.
Luck also smiled on the duo of Abigail Culbert of Vocational Education Department and Idorenyin Jonah of Forestry Department as they both went away with cash prizes and other exciting gift items.
Man of the moment, Jeff was not left out of the fun as he delivered a brilliant rendition of Yemi Alade’s ‘Kissing’.
The eventful evening ended with Harrysong dishing out an electrifying performance of his hit track ‘Reggae Blues’. The fun moved to the Magnum Club in UYO where Harrysong partied with his fans all night.
The Musicplus+ Next Rated campaign is another exciting initiative from MTN Nigeria designed to encourage and support upcoming acts in the music industry.
