Akon Sets Up Solar Academy in Africa

 Akon was born in the United States, but spent his early years in Senegal, Dakar, this is where he was brought up and where his family comes from.
 With no electricity or running water Akon has set up a Solar Academy in Bamako, Mali in aid to bring electricity to 600 million people in rural communities across Africa. It will be launching on 15th December.
The academy will try to give African engineers and entrepreneurs the skills needed to develop solar power. Some European experts will help to supply training equipment and programs.
