Oyo-Ita Named Nigeria's Acting Head of Service

 Mrs. Winifred Ekanem Oyo-Ita, has been appointed the Acting Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, with effect from October 21.

His appointment was approved by President Muhammadu Buhari, replacing Mr Danladi Kifasi, who proceeded on his pre-retirement leave on Tuesday.

The former Head of Service of the Federation was due for retirement in December.

The Acting Head of Service is from Odukpani Local Government Area of Cross River State and was the Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Science and Technology.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, the Director of Press, Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Bolaji Adebiyi, said her appointment was “a testimony of Mr President’s implicit confidence and trust in her ability to discharge the responsibilities of the office of Head of the Civil Service of the Federation”.
