Amaechi was the first of six nominees slated for screening on Thursday.
He spent about 50 minutes answering questions bordering on various issues, including his alleged indictment by a panel by the Rivers State Government for corruption, insisting that he was never indicted. .
The Chairman of the Senate Ethics committee, Mr Chris Anyanwu, submitted the report that delayed Amaechi’s screening on three occasions.
Also screened on Thursday was Heineken Lokpobiri, who is a former member of the upper legislative chamber and Claudius Omoyele Daramola, an academic.
Also screened by the Senate is Baba Shehuri Mustapha, who was in the House of Representatives, representing the Maiduguri Metropolitan Constituency.
Mr Mustapha answered questions on improving local government administration in Nigeria
Mr Adewole Isaac Folorunsho and Ocholi Onojo James were also screened on Thursday .
